Auburn is No. 1 in BCS standings

Auburn jumped three spots to No. 1 in the latest BCS standings, released on Sunday night. Auburn is No. 1 in the BCS standings for the first time in school history.

The Tigers beat LSU 24-17 on Saturday afternoon. Auburn has wins this season over some pretty good teams -- Mississippi State, Clemson, South Carolina, Arkansas and LSU. That appears to be the reason Auburn jumped over Oregon in the BCS standings.

But Auburn has a computer ranking of No. 1, which Oregon's computer ranking is No. 8.
