Aliyyah Handford scored 25 points and senior Amber Thompson added a career-high 17 rebounds to go with nine points and two blocks as the No. 24 St. John's women's basketball team won its 11th straight Big East game Saturday, 69-56, over Villanova.

Danaejah Grant had 14 points and nine rebounds and Eugeneia McPherson chipped in 12 points for the Red Storm (19-5, 12-1).

Stony Brook 79, UMass Lowell 68: Senior guard Chikilra Goodman had 21 points and matched a career high with 16 rebounds as Stony Brook (18-7, 9-3 America East) picked up its third straight win.

Senior guard Teasha Harris had career highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

NYIT 85, Bridgeport 63: Rebecca Romeo had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lift NYIT (15-7, 11-5 ECC).

Farmingdale State 86, Sage 70: Nicky Young had 22 points and Camille Romero 20 points for Farmingdale (13-8, 10-1 Skyline).

Purchase 84, SUNY Old Westbury 83: DeAndra Scott had 19 points, Raven Pentz had a career-high 11 assists and Clarissa Gallagher had 15 points in a Skyline loss for Old Westbury (4-7).


Bridgeport 79 NYIT 73: Markus Moore had 23 points in the loss for NYIT (9-13, 7-9 ECC).

Farmingdale State 83, Sage 79: Jonathan Annan had 22 points and Donald Lawes and Curtis Williams 14 points each for Farmingdale (16-6, 12-3 Skyline).

SUNY Old Westbury 72, SUNY Maritime 58: Ray Parker had 25 points and shot 10-for-13 for Old Westbury (9-6) in Skyline. Floyd Leroy had 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals and Omari Trebuse chipped in 16 points in the win.

USMMA 66, Juanita 61: Nick Sergio had 19 points and 12 rebounds for USMMA (12-11, 6-6 Landmark).
