AP men's and women's poll, 2/22; St. John's women 18th

The top two spots remained the same, but there was a change as Purdue and Syracuse jumped up a spot to third and fourth, respectively. Duke moved from sixth to fifth, Kansas State jumped up a place to sixth, while Villanova dropped four places to seventh. New Mexico jumped up from 12th to 10th. Pitt made the biggest jump going from 19th to 12th, while Texas fell from 15th to 21st.

Northern Iowa entered the poll again, while Wake Forest dropped out.

 WOMEN'S POLL

The top three remained the same with UConn a unanimous No.1. Tennessee moved up from fifth to fourth, while Xavier jumped from sixth to fifth. Duke vaulted two places to sixth, while Notre Dame dropped three spots to seventh after two straight losses. West Virginia and Florida State eached moved up a place to eighth and ninth, respectively. Ohio State dropped three places to 10th.

St. John's jumped four places to 18th. It's the highest the Red Storm have been in the AP poll since 1984. Hartford made its first-ever appearance in the top 25, debuting at No. 24th with Georgia. Virginia also re-entered the poll after several weeks on the outside looking in.
