St. John’s is back on top (with a unanimous vote) after a riveting 61-58 win over No.13 Georgetown on Monday night. The Red Storm’s rise isn’t just about beating the Hoyas. Steve Lavin’s crew has won five straight, including consecutive conference road wins over West Virginia and Providence. Princeton slipped to No.2, Iona moved up three spots to No.3, while Rutgers dropped one place to fourth, after a two-game losing streak.

Rider made a big jump from No.9 to No.5, while Fairfield actually dropped two places, despite winning a game. St. Peter’s and LIU are back in the poll after a brief hiatus, while Fordham dropped out.
