The Barclays Center will take the college basketball world by storm in 2012-2013. The new arena is tentatively scheduled to host six events, including the Atlantic-10 Tournament, and over 20 games.

All of the major conferences as well as several local teams will be represented at the Barclays Center at some point during the season.

Kentucky, Maryland, Morehead State and Brooklyn’s own LIU will kick off the college season at the arena in the Barclays Center Classic.

Notre Dame, BYU, Florida State and St. Joseph’s will square off in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, while Michigan, West Virginia, Fordham, Providence, St. John’s and St. Francis will compete in a triple header in the Barclays Center Winter Festival.

The Barclays Center’s reach will go as far as the PAC-12 as UCLA comes to Brooklyn to participate in the Legends Classic on Nov. 19-20. Big East power Georgetown, Indiana and Georgia will also be a part of the Legends Classic.

Manhattan, Seton Hall and LIU are scheduled to take the court in the Holiday Invitational on December 22. The Atlantic-10 tournament will cap the college season March 14 thru 17.
