Baylor tops Old Dominion, 76-68, is off to Sweet 16

LaceDarius Dunn had 25 points, including four three pointers and Tweety Carter added 14 points as Baylor topped No.11 Old Dominion, 76-68. No.3 Baylor plays 10th-seeded St. Mary's in the Sweet 16 next week.

Gerald Lee and Frank Hassell had 15 points each for Old Dominion.

Old Dominion took a 58-56 lead on a Gerald Lee three-point play with 6:29 left. It was all Baylor after that as Dunn scored seven points during a game-ending 20-10 run.

ODU still can't get over the hump as LaceDarius Dunn drained a three to give Baylor a 68-62 lead with 3:13 left.

Old Dominion has yet to take a lead in this game, although the Monarchs have tied the game on several occasions. The Monarchs trailed 38-28 at halftime and got back in the game thanks to a 27-18 run. Ben Finney has three second-half three-pointers for Old Dominion. Baylor leads 56-55 with 7:18 left.

Ben Finney drained the second of two straight three-pointers with 13:22 left, capping a 17-7 run for Old Dominion, which rallied from a 38-28 halftime deficit. The score is tied at 45 with 13:22 left.

LaceDarius Dunn has 14 points, Tweety Carter has 10 points and Anthony Jones has eight points for Baylor, which is shooting 15-for-27 from the field, including 6-for-9 from long range. Baylor leads 38-28 at the half.
