The accolades just don't stop for Hofstra's Charles Jenkins.
The senior guard was named Colonial Athletic Association player of the year for the second straight season, it was announced Thursday night at the CAA annual awards banquet.
Jenkins received 41player of the year votes. Second place had two votes and three other players received one vote. Jenkins (23.2 ppg) is tied for fourth in the country in scoring and averages 4.8 assists per game.
He's the only player in the country to lead his conference in scoring and assists.
Jenkins became Hofstra's all-time leading scorer on January 29 and has 2,463 points, which second all-time in the CAA, trailing Navy's David Robinson (2,669).
Jenkins was also named to the All-Academic second-team.
Hofstra senior center Greg Washington was named to the All-Defensive team for the third straight season, while senior guard Brad Kelleher was selected to the All-Academic first team.
Hofstra earned the third seed in the CAA Tournament and will face the winner of sixth-seeded James Madison vs. 11th-seeded William & Mary in a quarterfinal game on Saturday at 8:30 p.m at Richmond Coliseum.
If the Pride wins, it will play in a semifinal game on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The championship game set for Monday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
