Barry Rohrssen is done at Manhattan College, Pat Knight was ousted from Texas Tech and Pat Kennedy is stepping down as head coach of Towson.
Towson and Texas Tech will both begin a national search.
There is talk that former Boston University coach Dennis Wolff is on Manhattan's short list to replace Rohrssen.
It won't quite match what we've seen the last two seasons, when over a dozen schools had head coaching changes, including St. John's, Hofstra, Iona, DePaul, Rutgers, Seton Hall, VCU, Alabama, Kentucky, Memphis, Dartmouth, but the coaching carousel will start spinning over the next few weeks.
There has also been speculation that Providence's Keno Davis could be in trouble. Although you have to wonder how much you can blame him. Providence is one of the hardest places in the Big East to win. Tim Welsh did a fine job there, as well as Rick Pitino.
But the Big East is so deep, finding quality recruits to come to Rhode Island can't be the easiest thing in the world.
As one NBA scout with knowledge of the northeast region basketball scene put it: "There is not a lot to sell an athletein Rhode Island. The rest of the Big East schools have tradition or a nice backdrop, like the Carrier Dome or New York City, Providence, not so much."
