Stony Brook senior wingman Muhammad El-Amin was named America East Player of the Year by the Sporting News.

Steve Pikiell was named America East coach of the year by the Sporting News. Pikiell, in his fifth season as head coach, led the squad to a school Division I record in wins (22) and won the school's first America East title.

Stony Brook earned an automatic bid to the NIT after winning the America East regular season title. The Seawolves will learn of their opponent on Sunday night.
