Former Fordham guard Jio Fontan has enrolled at USC, according to ESPN.com.
Fontan, a sophomore who made the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie squad last season, will be eligible to play for the Trojans after the first semester next season.
Fontan, who became frustrated with losing at Fordham, played in just five games for the Rams this season. Rams coach Dereck Whittenburg was fired shortly after Fontan stopped playing in late November.
Fontan averaged 15.3 points per game for the Rams last season. Fontan averaged 15 points through five games for Fordham this season.
USC is a strange place for Fontan to land considering the trouble the school is in with the NCAA over the O.J. Mayo allegations.
