Hofstra’s non-schedule for the 2012-2013 season has a little bit of everything, including games against three 20-win teams and one NCAA Tournament squad from last season.

Hofstra coach Mo Cassara released the team’s non-conference schedule on Wednesday.

The Pride opens its regular season on November 9 at Monmouth.

Other matchups include games against Tulane at the Barclays Center on December 22, a Larry Brown-coached SMU squad at the Mack Sports Complex on December 1 at 4 p.m. and

Hofstra also plays at LIU and Manhattan. LIU, two-time NEC regular season and tournament champ, is led by first-year coach Jack Perri. Manhattan, fresh off a 21-win season, qualified for the College Tournament.

"Our schedule is full of talented teams that will help us prepare for Colonial Athletic Association competition," Cassara said. "All the teams we are playing and very well-coached. The local games are great for the fans and beneficial for us to not have to travel far to face good teams."

The Pride will also participate in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. Dates and matchups for the tournament will be announced later this summer but will feature one road game, coupled with a three-game home tournament from Nov. 16-18.

Hofstra plays at George Washington on November 24 and will host Wright State on December 15 in a rematch of the 2011 Bracket Buster game. The Pride caps its non-conference schedule on New Year’s Day at Florida Atlantic.

The CAA schedule will be announced at a later date.
