Hunter leads USMMA past Mount St. Vincent

Lauren Hunter scored 24 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead USMMA over Mount St. Vincent, 57-43 (6-0 overall, 4-0 conference) in Skyline on Saturday. Shelby Peters added eight points and 13 rebounds. USMMA outrebounded Mount St. Vincent, 51-40.

NYIT 73, Molloy 45: Meg Knollmeyer scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded five steals to lead NYIT (9-1, 2-0) in East Coast Conference. Melody Prichard led Molloy with 12 points (0-2, 5-3).

Stony Brook 63, Fairleigh Dickinson 49: Shania Johnson scored 12 points and added 10 assists to lead Stony Brook (8-1) in non-conference. Jerell Matthews also scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Stony Brook outrebounded Fairleigh Dickinson, 39-29.

American International College 81, Adelphi 73: Leonie Edringer scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds for Adelphi (6-4, 4-2) in Northeast-10. Niajah Morgan added 19 points.

Purchase 57, Farmingdale State 49: Jami Cardenas scored 17 points for Farmingdale State (0-7, 0-4) in Skyline. Alexis Hunter added nine points and 19 rebounds.

Mount Saint Mary College 62, SUNY-Old Westbury 52: Kayla Cleare had 16 points and seven rebounds for Mount Saint Mary in Skyline. Alexis Lopez led SUNY-Old Westbury (7-1, 2-1) with 15 points.

St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) 91, St. Joseph’s (L.I.) 75: Alyssa Signor had 35 points and three steals for St. Joseph’s (L.I.) (2-8, 1-3) in Skyline. Caitlyn Staab led St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) with 30 points and nine rebounds.

LIU Post 69, Queens College 47: Shannon Doyle scored 15 points and tallied a game-high five steals to lead LIU Post (8-1, 2-0) in East Coast Conference. Sasha Patterson added eight points and 11 rebounds.

Men’s Basketball

Farmingdale State 101, Purchase 82: Matthew Graham scored 21 points and tallied seven assists to lead Farmingdale State (7-2, 5-0) in Skyline. Ryan Kennedy added 20 points, with six baskets from beyond the arc. Farmingdale State went 54.2 percent from the field.

Adelphi 75, American International College 57: Jack Laffey scored 16 points to lead Adelphi (6-4, 2-4) in Northeast-10. Adelphi went 49.2 percent from the field. Oswald Parker III added 15 points. Nick Cambio tallied 11 points and nine rebounds.

Molloy 82, NYIT 71: Curtis Jenkins scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Molloy (5-3, 2-0) in East Coast Conference. Molloy put up 40 points in the paint, compared to NYIT’s 30. Marcus Saint-Furcy recorded a career-high 25 points for NYIT (1-7, 1-1).

St. Joseph’s (Brooklyn) 67, St. Joseph’s (L.I.) 63: Frank Basile scored 23 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for St. Joseph’s (L.I.) (2-6, 1-4) in Skyline. Mike Harris added 21 points.

Mount Saint Mary 81, SUNY-Old Westbury 76: Kendall Francis had 34 points, nine rebounds and four assists for Mount Saint Mary in Skyline. Alan McDonald recorded 20 points and seven rebounds for SUNY-Old Westbury (3-3, 2-2).

Mount Saint Vincent 70, USMMA 59: David Washington recorded 16 points and six rebounds for USMMA (0-6, 0-4) in Skyline. Jason Barrera’s 21 points and 17 rebounds led Mount Saint Vincent.

Queens College 67, LIU Post 62: Alonzo Ortiz-Traylor scored 30 points and grabbed eight rebounds for LIU Post (0-6, 0-2) in East Coast Conference. Kendell Ogilvie added 10 points and seven rebounds.
