Kansas uses strong second half for 90-74 win

Kansas survived a slow start for a 90-74 win. Lehigh led early, but Marcus Morris sparked a big second half. Five Jayhawk players finished in double figures, including Cole Aldrich with 26 poitns.

Zahir Carrington had a solid game in the paint with 17 points and six rebounds. C.J McCollum, only a freshman, had 26 to lead Lehigh.

Ahead 35-29 at the half, the Jayhawks went on a 44-31 run for a 79-60 lead. That's 44 points in a little over 15 minutes. Lehigh just can't matchup with the versatile Jayhawks.

No.16 Lehigh led by eight early, but top-seeded Kansas got it going soon after that. The Jayhawks went on a 21-7 run and lead 25-19 with 4:55 to go in the first.

It went back and forth the rest of the half as the Jayhawks, who lead 35-29 at the half, couldn't shake Lehigh. Zahir Carrington has been effective inside with 12 points and five rebounds.

Kansas has been saved by the play of Marcus Morris off the bench with 12 points.
