The Kentucky Wildcats made history on Monday night, becoming the first team in college basketball history to win 2,000 games.
Kentucky dusted off Drexel, 88-44, to get the win. Kentucky improved to 2,000-635-1 in 107 years of basketball. North Carolina is second with 1,992 wins and Kansas is third with 1,980.
"We weren't apart of many of those 2,000 wins, but we had a job to do and that was drag us across the line before that other blue team got there," Calipari told the Associated Press.
He was referring to the North Carolina.
"This is a special moment for this program and this state," Calipari added.
