Guards Kris Dunn of Providence and Ryan Arcidiacono of Villanova were named Big East co-players of the year.

Dunn, a sophomore, was sixth in the conference with 15.5 points a game and first in assists (7.4) and steals (2.8). His Jan. 29 triple-double over DePaul was the first in league play since the 2008-2009 season, the conference said in a statement.

Arcidiacono, a junior, helped lead Villanova to a school-record 29-2 regular season. In conference play he averaged 12.9 points, made 44.4 percent of his three-pointers and 84.7 percent on free throws.

This is the seventh time the conference has named co-winners since the award's inception in the 1979-1980 season.

Jay Wright earned his fourth Coach of the Year honor and his second in a row after leading Villanova to its second straight regular-season title. Angel Delgado of Seton Hall was Rookie of the Year after becoming only the second freshman to lead the conference in rebounding, averaging 9.9 overall.
