Old Westbury and St. Joseph's advance in Skyline tournament.

Frantz Granjean (34 points) hit a free throw with 55 seconds left and Jamal Little added one with 23 seconds remaining in double overtime to lift No.5 Old Westbury to a 98-96 victory over No.4 Farmingdale State in a Skyline Conference quarterfinal. Senior center Lester Prosper had 29 points and nine rebounds for Old Westbury (13-13) eclipsed the 1,000-rebound mark. Prosper has 1,469 points, 1,001 rebounds and 249 career blocks.

Josh Smith had 17 points for Farmingdale State (16-10). Old Westbury will play at No. 1 Purchase College in a semifinal at 7 p.m. on Thursday in a rematch of last season’s Skyline championship game.

Josh Smith, who scored four points during a run in the fourth quarter to send the game into the first overtime, led Farmingdale State with 17 points, eight steals and five assists. Old Westbury will play No. 1 Purchase College in the semifinals.

St. Joseph's (LI) 68, Mt. St. Vincent 60: Olivier Laurent had 18 points and six rebounds and Trey Black added 17 points and seven rebounds for No.3 St. Joseph's in a 68-60 win over sixth-seeded Mount St. Vincent in the other Skyline quarterfinal. Trey Black added 17 points and 10 rebounds for St. Joseph’s (21-5). Mt. St. Vincent drops to 15-11.


SUNY-Old Westbury 60, Sage College 58: Brittany Jones hit the back end on a pair of free throws with eight seconds left to give SUNY-Old Westbury (19-6) a two-point lead in a Skyline Conference quarterfinal. Ruth Vargas forced a steal with one second left to preserve the win. Kim Weathers had 27 points and four assists for Old Westbury and Vargas added 13 points and three steals. The 19 wins is a career high for eighth-year head coach Michael Krasnoss. Old Westbury plays top-seeded Mount St. Mary's in a semifinal on Thursday at 8 p.m. in Newburgh.

Nassau CC 71, Kingsborough CC 56: Christine Page had eight points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Stephanie Brock added 13 points and six assists to lead Nassau CC (13-4) in the quarterfinals of the Region XV playoffs. Nassau plays Suffolk CC in a semifinal on Saturday at noon at Westchester CC.
