St. John’s is back on top in the latest area poll, replacing Princeton, which dropped to No.3. Romping over Duke in a nationally televised game will do that. Rutgers received a lot of love from voters this week and moved up three places to No.2. Seton Hall, thanks do a commanding win over Syracuse, also got a lot of attention and enters the poll at No.5 after not even being in it last week. Iona dropped from third to seventh after three straight losses. Fairfield is on a roll and is up two places to fourth, while Hofstra switched places and is sitting in the sixth spot. Seton Hall’s entrance into the poll came at the expense of Columbia, which dropped out.
