Is was too much long range bombs for Georgetown as Ohio went 13-for-23 from three-point range in its 97-93 win. Defensively, it was a nightmare as the Bobcats used the dribble drive to open up their three-point bombers all day.
Armon Bassett burned the Hoyas for 32 points, while D.J. Cooper added 23. It was an offensive clinic put on by the Bobcats.
Georgetown didn't play badly on offense. Chris Wright had 28 points and Greg Monroe added 19 as the Hoyas shot 52 percent from the field. But Austin Freeman had a game to forget with just nine points.
It was just the second tourney win in the last 45 years for Ohio. Its last win came in 1983.
