Just kidding. Rutgers has a ways to go before we can call them the Beast of the East. But the Scarlet Knights represented themselves well in an 81-67 loss at North Carolina on Monday night.

Mike Rosario dropped 22 on the 9th-ranked Tar Heels. Rutgers (9-3) trailed North Carolina by four with 2:08 left, which could be an indication that the Scarlet Knights might be for real. Yes, I know. We've heard that before, but this Rutgers team could be a factor in the Big East.

The question is was this just a one game thing? Did Rutgers get pumped because it was North Carolina? Or are the Scarlet Knights beginning to realize their potential?

Although Rutgers coach Fred Hill was happy with the effort, he wanted the win.

"I really like what this team is doing," Hill told the Associated Press. "But I'm an old-school guy. I never like when lose a game, ever."
