Commack's Samantha Prahalis achieved a career-high 32 points to lead No. 6 Ohio State to a hard-fought 65-62 victory at No. 19 Michigan State Saturday afternoon. The Buckeyes also got 20 points and 13 rebounds from Jantel Lavender.
The Spartans (11-5, 2-3 Big Ten) held a 35-31 halftime lead, but the Buckeyes (17-1, 5-0) took control at the start of the second half, hitting two threes, including one by Prahalis. Michigan State managed to regain the lead in the late going, but Prahalis tied it at 61 on two foul shots with 1:42 to play and then put Ohio State ahead for good by hitting two more free throws at 1:14.
Prahalis made 10 of 20 shots from the field, as OSU won for the ninth straight time since its only loss on Dec. 3 at Duke.
