There would be no 12 vs. 5 upset in this one. Khris Middleton led four double-digit scorers with 19 points as Texas A&M topped Utah State, 69-53. Texas A&M won pretty much every battle, shooting 49 percent from the floor compared to 37 percent for Utah State. The Aggies beat Utah State on the boards 32-28 and limited them to 5-for-20 shooting from beyond the arc.
Tai Wesley was the only Utah State player with an efficient night, scoring 14 points on 7-for-13 shooting. But he had little help as Jared Quayle was the only other player in double figures with 11 points. It was Utah State's second lowest scoring out put of the season.
