Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn announced on Tuesday morning that head coach Dan Hawkins was being relieved of his duties.
Longtime assistant coach Brian Cabral was named the interim head coach for the rest of the season.

Hawkins was 19-39 as Colorado's head coach. But in their last 30 games, the Buffaloes are 8-22 and 4-17 in the Big 12.
