Georgia Tech became the latest BCS institutiuon to be sanctioned by the NCAA.
The college governing body put the Yellow Jackets on four years probation and levied a $100,000 fine for violations committed by the school’s basketball and football programs.
Georgia Tech football will vacate its last two games of 2009, but wasn't hit with a reduction in scholarships or banned from post season play. The basketball team was levied with recruiting restrictions over the next two years.
West Virginia's football program was put on two years probation last week. The team will lose a scholarship for the upcoming season and will be forced to reduce its football staff positions.
The NCAA is also expected to issue its findings on Ohio State sometime in the fall.
