Madison Square Garden has been home to an unlikely college hockey revival in recent years.
It began in 2007, when Cornell and Boston University brought the sport back to the Garden after a hiatus of more than three decades since the days of the old ECAC Holiday Festival and surprised arena officials by selling out the place.
Cornell since has sold out the Garden six of the past eight Thanksgiving weekends, against BU (four times), Michigan and most recently Penn State.
Last January Harvard and Yale got into the act and drew 15,524 for a 5-1 Yale victory.
The two ancient rivals will be at it again Saturday night, with Harvard ranked No. 3 in the nation and Yale No. 19.
NBCSN will carry the "Rivalry on Ice" game with Dave Strader and Pierre McGuire on the call.
