Hofstra is heading to the NCAA softball tournament.

Morgan Lashley pitched 21/3 innings of scoreless relief as the Pride beat James Madison, 2-1, in the deciding game of the Colonial Athletic Association championship tournament Friday to earn an automatic berth. First-round pairings will be announced Sunday.

Chloe Fitzgerald scored both Hofstra runs on two-out singles by Lacey Clark.

Pirone was named the CAA tournament's Most Outstanding Performer and made the All-Tournament team with Lashley, Fitzgerald and Caryn Bailey.

The NCAA Tournament selection show airs 10 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU.

The Pride has captured four CAA titles since 2010.
