Eli Pemberton scored 22 points as Hofstra defeated James Madison, 77-61, in a Colonial Athletic Association men’s basketball game on Thursday night in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Hofstra star Justin Wright-Foreman was limited to 11 points and 4-for-12 shooting, but Jalen Ray had 15 points and Desure Buie added 11 points and seven assists for Hofstra (18-11, 11-6 CAA). Rokas Gustys had eight points and nine rebounds.

The Pride actually shot better from the field (26-for-46, 56.5 percent) than from the free-throw line (16-for-29, 55.2 percent). Hofstra shot 9-for-18 from three-point range.

Matt Lewis had 23 points, Stuckey Mosley 12 and Ramone Snowden and DeVelle Phillips 10 each for James Madison (9-20 (5-11 CAA).
