The Hofstra, St. John's and Stony Brook women's basketball teams will compete in postseason tournaments this week.

Hofstra (20-12) will face the University of Pennsylvania at the Palestra and St. John's (21-10) will host Army (23-7) at Carnesecca Arena on Thursday in the 64-team Women's National Invitation Tournament. Game times will be announced Tuesday.

Stony Brook (17-13), seeded sixth in the East Region, will face third-seeded Siena (19-12) at 7 p.m. Thursday in upstate Loudonville in the 16-team Women's Basketball Invitational.

If Hofstra wins, it will face the Marist-Temple winner. If St. John's wins, it will play the Fordham-Central Connecticut State winner. If Stony Brook wins, it will face the William & Mary-Xavier winner Saturday or Sunday.

Hofstra will make its fifth WNIT appearance and first since 2012. St. John's will make a postseason appearance for the eighth straight year. Stony Brook played in the WNIT last season.
