Juan'ya Green had 19 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead five players in double figures Wednesday as Hofstra beat Central Connecticut State, 84-56, in New Britain, Connecticut.
Ameen Tanksley had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Pride (9-4). Moussa Kone had 12 points and Dion Nesmith and Brian Bernardi added 11 each.
Hofstra, which led the nation in three-point shooting at 42.5 percent entering the game, made 10 of 27 from long range Wednesday. It was the Pride's seventh game this season with at least 10 three-pointers.
Hofstra shot 9-for-19 from three-point range in taking a 47-25 halftime lead. Nesmith, who led the Pride with 11 first-half points, had a trio of threes.
After a jumper by Central Connecticut State's Corey Barrett made it 36-22 with 3:41 left before halftime, Hofstra scored 11 straight points. Bernardi had two three-pointers in that run.
Faronte Drakeford had 20 points and eight rebounds for CCSU (2-11). Matt Mobley added 16 points.
Hofstra will open Colonial Athletic Association play on Saturday when it visits North Carolina Wilmington.
