Charles Jenkins had eight points as Hofstra closed the game with a 12-1 run in a 73-62 victory at Northeastern last night in CAA men's basketball.
The contest was tied at 61 with 3:19 left in the second half.
Jenkins finished with 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and Halil Kanacevic had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Hofstra (17-13, 9-8). Chaz Williams and Cornelius Vines each had 12 points for the Pride, which shot 51.9 percent (14-for-27) in the second half and held Northeastern to 28 percent (7-for-25).
Northeastern (18-11, 13-4) was knocked out of first place in the CAA.
Hofstra hosts Georgia State at 4 p.m. Saturday.
