Halftown’s seven goals tie record, power NYIT

Leroy Halftown scored seven goals, tying a single-game high in NYIT men’s lacrosse history, to defeat Dist. Columbia in the East Coast Conference opener, 25-4, on Saturday. Captain Will Kistinger was congratulated at the beginning of the game for scoring his 100th goal on March 3, according to NYIT, Kistinger is seventh on NYIT’s all-time scoring list. Matthew Chanenchuk had three goals and five assists.

Chestnut Hill 7, LIU Post 6: Frank Ranfone scored his second goal with two minutes left in the fourth period to send the East Coast Conference game into overtime, but that was not enough to earn the win for LIU Post (3-4) against Chestnut Hill (2-2). Chris Trasacco had one goal and three assists.

Syracuse 9, St. John’s 8: Nick Heller, Joe Madsen and Colin Duffy each scored two goals in St. John’s (1-5) loss to Syracuse (4-1). Pat Smyth caused a turnover late in the fourth and Jackson O’Leary scored the final goal in St. John’s late rally.

FDU-Florham 10, USMMA 9: Pat Coll, Liam Connors, Dan McGovern and Nick Treon each scored two goals in USMMA’s loss to FDU-Florham. McGovern had four groundballs and Coll had three.

Onondaga CC 16, Nassau CC 13: Evan Killen scored three points for Nassau CC (2-1) in the loss to Onondaga CC (3-0). Liam Byrnes and Trevor Regnier had two goals and two assists.

Adelphi men’s lacrosse against Saint Rose is postponed until April 18th.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE

LIU Post women’s lacrosse against Stonehill is postponed until Sunday at noon.

Farmingdale and St. Joseph’s Saturday games were also postponed until further notice.
