Tiana Parrella sparks Hofstra in women’s lacrosse win

Tiana Parrella had four goals and four assists to lead Hofstra to a 13-5 win over Quinnipiac Saturday in a non-conference women’s lacrosse game. The Miller Place product set a career high with eight points and North Shore’s Alexis Greene made 11 saves for the Pride (1-5).

Adelphi 16, Saint Michael’s College 1: Rachel O’Brien (Bayport-Blue Point) had three goals and seven assists and Jacqueline Jahelka (Garden City) had three goals and three assists to lead Adelphi (2-0) in a Northeast 10 win.

Oneonta 12, Farmingdale State 5: Krista Spagnoletta made 10 saves for Farmingdale State (1-3) in a non-conference loss.

Drew 20, Old Westbury 6: Natasha Treuman scored two goals and Sara Bey had a goal and two assists for Old Westbury (1-2) in a non-conference loss.

Old Dominion 10, George Washington 7: Michaela Lynch (South Side) scored three goals for George Washington (2-6) in a non-conference loss.

Farmingdale State 8, Eastern Connecticut 7: Michael Cegielski scored with 2:57 left to break a tie at 7 and lead Farmingdale State (4-1) in a non-conference win.
