LSU tops AP and Coaches polls, Clemson tumbles

The AP top five remained the same, but it was a different story for Nos. 6 through 10 as a couple of hot teams took a tumble after losses. Clemson dropped five places to No. 11, while Kansas State fell seven spots to No. 17. Oklahoma got some traction and moved up four places to seven, while Nebraska moved up four slots to ninth.

Auburn came back into the poll at 25th and Georgia Tech, after upsetting Clemson, is in at 22. Texas A&M and Texas Tech dropped out of the poll.

The top 5 in the Coaches poll stayed put. Clemson took a fall, going from sixth to 12th, while Kansas State fell seven places to 19th. Nebraska jumped from 13th to ninth, while South Carolina jumped four places and settled into the 10th spot. Texas Tech and Texas A&M dropped out of the poll, while Texas and Georgia Tech came in and Nos. 25 and 22, respectively.
