St. John's announced on Wednesday afternoon that redshirt sophomore forward Sedee Keita had successful right knee surgery and will be out 4-6 weeks.

St. John's said in a news release that Keita had the surgery on Wednesday morning.

Keita has played in two games this season, including his first collegiate start in Friday's 84-80 win over Bowling Green at Carnesecca Arena. Keita played just four minutes and had one rebound against Bowling Green before injuring his right knee.

Keita has five rebounds and a blocked shot in 13 minutes this season.

Keita transferred from South Carolina after playing for the Gamecocks in the 2016-17 season and sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules.
