Learn the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra and his brother Nick. Both earned black belts in BJJ under Renzo Gracie, whose family essentially founded the sport.
Serra, still an active fighter in the UFC, also teaches Muay Thai kickboxing in his newly expanded gym, located 200 feet up the road from his old place at 601 W. Jericho Turnpike.
At 8,300 square feet, Serra BJJ is about six times bigger than its predecessor. It includes an MMA cage, cardio equipment and free weights and enough mat space to teach three classes simultaneously if needed.
Introductory and advanced classes available, as are specially tailored instruction for kids and teens.
Open 7 days. Class schedule varies by discipline and skill level.
