Speculation died down last night that the Redskins would be able to move disgruntled defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, especially after Titans coach Jeff Fisher indicated the team would not deal for a player lost in free agency to the Redskins last year.
But Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network believes that a trade is still likely, and says the Titans are the most likely candidate.
La Canfora speculates that the Redskins would accept a third-round pick for Haynesworth (pictured), who has already had problems getting along with new head coach Mike Shanahan. Haynesworth signed a free agent contract last year worth $100 million.
UPDATE: Shanahan said in an interview today on NFL Network that Haynesworth won't be traded. "It's not going to happen," Shanahan said. "There's a lot of rumors, a lot of specuation that's been going on here for the last month. But Albert Haynesworth will not be traded."
