Andy Reid: No talks yet with Jeffrey Lurie

With Andy Reid likely out at the end of the season in Philadelphia, the big question is whether team owner Jeffrey Lurie will make the decision to fire him before the end of the season. It appears that won't happen.

"We haven't talked about that," Reid said in his postgame press conference after the Eagles' Monday night home loss to the Panthers. “He's been supportive. Obviously, he's as competitive as anybody. He wants to win games. That's why he's in this business. But we really haven't gone there.”

Reid's Eagles are now 3-8 and almost mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but he said the team will continue playing hard until the end of the season.

“We’re going to keep battling,” Reid said. “I have to do a better job with that obviously by how we played here. I’m not worried about all of the other things.”
