With Mark Sanchez struggling late this season and Peyton Manning's status with the Colts uncertain, some Jets fans have allowed themselves to dream of having a Manning to call their own at MetLife Stadium.

What does the Manning brothers' father, Archie, think of that notion?

"Oh, I'm not going to get into that,'' he said Sunday after Eli led the Giants' playoff victory over the Packers. "Peyton's kind of like, his roots are in Indy, so we'll see what happens there, and if that doesn't work, maybe he can get healthy, we'll see. But that'll all work out. It'll all work out. He's just trying to get healthy.''

How healthy is he after missing the entire 2011 season in the wake of neck surgery?

"He's got a great attitude," Archie said. "He's just biting and scratching and trying to get healthy.''

The Colts have given no indication they plan to part with Manning, even if they draft Andrew Luck first overall this spring.
