With a 16-0 win over the injury-ravaged Dolphins, the Bears became the first team in NFL history to win 700 games. The Packers are next with 660.
The Dolphins achieved a more dubious result; it was the first time the team was shut out since losing 24-0 to the Jets on Nov. 18, 2001. That's nine years to the day before last night's loss.
The only other shutout this year was Green Bay's 9-0 win over the Jets in Week 8.
The Bears improved to 4-1 on the road, which is the best road record in the NFC. Chicago's final three road games are against NFC North opponents (Detroit, Green Bay and Minnesota).
One stat to note from last night's game: The Bears held the Dolphins to 39 rushing yards, the fourth game this season they've held an opponent to under 50 rushing yards.
