The No. 1 overall pick in next month's draft could very well be decided by what happens today in Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford's Pro Day workout.
Bradford (pictured) is coming off shoulder surgery, but I'm told by his agent, Tom Condon, that he is at full strength and has almost no restrictions on his training regiment. In fact, Condon told me had to tell Bradford to dial it back with his workouts just to make sure he doesn't overdo it.
So what happens with that first pick? Well, the Rams are keeping their options wide open. That includes taking Bradford at No. 1, taking one of the draft's two top-rated tackles, Gerald McCoy of Oklahoma or Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska, or trading out of the slot and taking quarteback Jimmy Clausen of Notre Dame ... or someone else.
And don't forget about the buzz swirling in a potential trade for Iggles quarterback Donovan McNabb.
I ran into Rams GM Billy Devaney at the owners meetings last week, and asked what he planned to do at No. 1. His reply: "Maybe if I knew myself I'd tell you."
The operative phrase here: stay tuned.
