Former Jets linebackers coach Bob Sutton has done an exceptional job so far as Chiefs defensive coordinator, resurrecting a previously awful unit into one of the best in the game.

The Chiefs lead the NFL with fewest points allowed (65), are fifth in yards allowed (306.3) and lead with a whopping 30 sacks. They average five sacks a game; the Giants have just five sacks for the entire season.

What makes Sutton’s job all the more impressive: The majority of his starters were with the Chiefs last year during a 2-14 season.

Linebacker Justin Houston is tied for the NFL lead with 9.5 sacks, defensive tackle Dontari Poe already has a career-high 4.5 sacks, and linebacker Tamba Hali has 6.5 sacks, all of them in his last four games.
