What had been scheduled as a two-day bargaining session in Washington, D.C. between negotiators for the NFL and the NFL Players Association broke down after a day, with no new talks scheduled.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also canceled an owners meeting on Tuesday in Philadelphia, essentially because there was nothing new to report on the labor front.
The current CBA is due to expire on March 3. If no new agreement is reached by then, owners are expected to impose a lockout.
