You knew this had to happen sooner or later: Bill Cowher, the former Steelers' Super Bowl winning coach, will officially be on the market once the season ends.
"I'm open to listen to opportunities," Cowher said in an on-line chat on USATODAY.com yesterday.
Cowher is currently an NFL analyst at CBS.
"I'm very comfortable at CBS," he said. I'll keep all my options open. And I'll only answer those questions at the end of the season. I'm not going to comment on any hypothetical situations until the entire season is over."
And that means the Super Bowl. Cowher predicts the Saints and Patriots will make it to the Big Show in Dallas on Feb. 6.
Cowher's name has been linked to the Giants if Tom Coughlin does not return next season. But with the Giants at 8-4 and in playoff contention, it's unlikely that the team would consider a change unless the Giants sputter down the stretch.
