Mark Sanchez looked comfortable throwing in today's practice at the Jets' Organized Team Activity (OTA) session, although he's still not ready to go full speed. Sanchez has urged head coach Rex Ryan to allow him to participate in team drills, but the coach isn't buying it. That means it's not quite certain whether Sanchez will participate in the Jets' June 14-16 mini-camp.

"I don't feel comfortable [with team drills]," Ryan said. "I don't want to risk that now. We'll stay the course, and in due time, he'll be out there. We all know he'll be ready to roll."

Sanchez is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, and he admits he's itching to put more on his plate in practice.

"I'm asking every day [to play more]," Sanchez said. "That's the kind of mentality you'd want your coaches to have [in holding him back] and that's the kind of mentality the coaches want me to have. It's just not worth taking a chance. What happens if somebody falls [on the knee]? We're just taking it slow and being smart."
