The Giants have officially been eliminated from playoff contention as the Cowboys have just beaten the Redskins, 17-0, in Washington.
That means the six NFC playoff teams have been decided. The only thing open is the seeding and the NFC East title.
But for the Giants, it no longer matters. They are finished.
For the first time since 2004 when Eli Manning was a rookie, the Giants will finish the season with a game that means absolutely nothing. You could probably go back even further than that considering what that 2004 game actually meant, a win over the Cowboys and Eli's first comeback win.
We'll be out at the Giants' complex tomorrow for the follow-up. I'm sure everyone will be in a pleasant, chatty mood.
