One of the things I marvel at while interviewing Antrel Rolle is that he makes up his own words, often uses the wrong words, doesn’t really abide by any distinguishable rules of grammar or sentence structure … and yet he manages to get his point across clearly.
I think it’s funny. I can only imagine what he’s like when he’s trying to be funny.
Imagine no longer. Rolle is going to be the Giants player at the latest “12 Angry Mascots” comedy show on Monday night at Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan. If you haven’t heard about the “12 Angry Mascots” shows, they are a bunch of comedy skits put together and they revolve around sports. They also have an intermission where they interview a local jock. Danny Clark did it last year and David Diehl not only did the halftime interview but participated in the sketches.
Giants fans will obviously be hoping that Rolle is in a good mood on Monday following this week’s game against the Eagles.
You can get more details and buy tickets here. It’s not like there’s a great Monday Night Football matchup this week anyway. Chargers-Broncos? As Tom Coughlin would say: “Whatever.”
Oh, and if you need another reason to go, proceeds from the door receipts will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and Livestrong.
