Baas a late scratch

David Baas has been announced as a late scratch for today’s game against the Packers due to headaches, sending the team scrambling to configure its offensive line that had already suffered a setback with the loss of veteran tackle Stacy Andrews.

Kevin Boothe will start at center, and Mitch Petrus will start at left guard. It will be Petrus’ first career start.

Baas was such a late scratch that James Brewer’s name was actually already on the inactives list and had to be crossed out and replaced by Baas’.

The rest of the inactive – and actives – are no real surprise. Michael Boley and Ahmad Bradshaw are playing. Osi Umenyiora, Mark Herzlich and Mario Manningham are not. Da’Rel Scott and Jimmy Kennedy are also inactive.
