David Baas said he’s been dealing with a neck injury for most of the season, but now that the effects have spread to include migraine headaches the concern level of the team – and himself – has increased.
“We are getting a lot of tests done, some evaluations and we will let the medical staff handle all of that and make the right decision,” Baas said today. “I really want to play football, but my health is very important to me. They will make the best decision.”
Baas said he doesn’t consider this to be a season-threatening situation, although with only four games guaranteed on the rest of the schedule, it certainly could wind up being the case.
“I’m just trying to push through it,” Baas said. “I’m trying to deal with it and the migraine-type headaches are new and it is something that is unexpected. I just have to deal with it. We have to deal with it and we have to do what is right for this team and the medical staff is going to make that decision and make the right one.”
