David Baas practiced today, but there were some places even he was hesitant to stick his head.

“I felt good today,” he said of his first work since missing last week’s practices and Sunday’s game with a neck burner. “I went out there and participated in most of practice. There were a few things that I had to make sure I kept my head out of and just used my hands. Felt great, but like I said we’ll continue to evaluate it … Everything looks good so far.”

Baas said he’s not worried about taking that first inevitable hit to his big ol' noggin whenever he plays for the first time.

“It’s football, it’s going to happen,” he said. “Hopefully I’ll be doing the hitting and I won’t be receiving blows. I’m not worried about it. I just have to do everything in my power to make sure it’s completely healthy and secure for this game and as of right now it feels really good and I’m excited about this week.”
