Enough with the good injury news about Jacobs and Manning and Snee. Here’s some breaking bad news on three players, two of whom we knew were having difficulties.

Ramses Barden as been diagnosed with a stress fracture of a transverse process. Michael Johnson has a disc issue. Both have missed time with what were loosely referred to as back injuries.

The new guy on the list is Aaron Ross, who has had a really sharp preseason at cornerback and looked really good returning a punt 45 yards on Saturday night. He has plantar fasciitis, which affects the foot as you may remember from last year’s injury situation with Manning.

None of those three are expected to be on the field this week and the Giants will be evaluating them on a week-to-week basis.
