DETROIT -- Jon Beason will start against the Lions. And so will the guy who replaced him.

The Giants announced their lineup changes and inactives on Monday evening and it included the announcement that Beason will start at middle linebacker while Jameel McClain will start as the strongside linebacker. Of course, that all depends on the offensive personnel the Lions have on the field. The Giants may go with a sub package that does not include McClain. But on paper, at least, Beason and McClain will start side by side.

The other position of interest is right guard where John Jerry will start ahead of Brandon Mosley, who was limited in practice all week with a back injury.

The Giants' inactives include the three players who had already been ruled out -- T James Brewer (back), DT Markus Kuhn (ankle) and WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring) -- along with recently-acquired lineman Adam Snyder, T Charles Brown, DT Jay Bromley and DE Kerry Wynn. Brown had been limited during the week with a shoulder injury.
